Ankita Bhambri has won silver medal in 15th Asian Games held at Doha in December 2006. She share the medal along with Sania Mirza, Isha Lakhani, Shikha Oberoi.

ANKITA BHAMBRI was announced her entry into the big league of the country's professional circuit winning the $10,000 ITF women's meet in Kolkata.

She was born on 28th October 1996 in New Delhi, India, She started playing tennis at the age of 6. Her coach is Mr. Arun Kumar.
